What is stage right?

Stage right refers to the right side of the stage when facing the audience. It is the opposite of stage left. Stage right is often used as a directional reference for actors, crew members, and designers during a performance. It is typically marked with "SR" on a ground plan or stage layout to help individuals orient themselves on stage. In theater and performance spaces, stage right may also be designated with specific entrances and exits, set pieces, or lighting cues specific to that side of the stage.
